Laptop!

My amazing husband braved the Black Friday crowd, stood in line for 7 hours and came home with this amazing HP laptop for me! Now, if that isn't love then I don't know what is!
I'm so stoked! It is an early Christmas gift and i am so thankful he gave it to me now! I guess I will have to repay him with MW3. He has been jonesing for that video game since before it came out and he didn't seem all that happy with waiting to get it for Christmas.

I cant wait to load this puppy up with amazing photographs and music. I have never owned a lap top before! In fact, I have never owned a new computer. They have all been hand me downs. So this truly is a special gift and I am so thankful that I have a man in my life that knew just how much I wanted my very own laptop!

Kudos to Jr!

Is the honeymoon over?

I am asked "is the honeymoon over yet?" all the time. Oddly enough, the majority of people who ask me this are people that have been married for a long time. For the record, my "honeymoon" is not over yet and I do not plan on it being over anytime soon. We are happy- in love- and enjoy each others company. We can talk all afternoon or just sit next to each other in the same room. Either way, we enjoy each other.
I don't know why but it bothers me when people ask me if that honeymoon is over. And it bothers me even more when it comes from married people. The sanctity of marriage has been declining for years. You would think when a young person is getting married or just got married, you married veterans out there can offer some advice, not make us feel like we made a mistake by getting married and should be expecting utter chaos at any moment.

We realize marriage is work but for now we don't have to work on loving each other, we just do. Of course, we get on each others nerves now and then but that's OK.. we are human. It doesn't change the fact that we are in this for the long haul. Instead of asking me if the honeymoon is over yet, try asking me what my favorite part of marriage is. Focus on the positive... even if your just joking, honestly it isn't funny.
